The Financial Aid Office at Oakland City University is committed to providing assistance with understanding the financial aid process. We understand that a private college education is a large investment and our office works very hard to make that investment as affordable as possible. The first and most important step in applying for these resources is to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using school code 001824 at www.studentaid.gov. Once the FAFSA has been completed and processed by the federal processing center the Financial Aid Office will be able to work with you to find funding options for your education.

21 Century Scholarship
To be eligible for the OCU 21st Century Scholarship, students must be enrolled in the Indiana 21st Century Scholar program and have completed all state requirements. Eligible students may receive up to full tuition to attend Oakland City University.
The alumni scholarship recognizes students who have family members that have previously attended Oakland City University.
Oakland City University is a member of the NAIA. The university currently offers thirteen (13) intercollegiate sports for which athletic aid is available. Athletic aid is offered to those student athletes selected by the respective coach as eligible for collegiate participation. Students who wish to apply for athletic scholarships should contact the appropriate athletic coach. A OCU athletic staff directory can be found HERE.
Christian High School Scholarship
This scholarship is for students who have received a diploma from a Christian high school and have demonstrated great academic success. Oakland City University offers this opportunity in efforts to better enable qualified students to continue their academic journey in an environment that fosters spiritual growth.
Diversity and Multicultural Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded as part of Oakland City University’s efforts to create a multicultural and diverse student body. Students from historically under-represented populations are encouraged to apply.
Endowment Scholarships can be received in addition to other OCU scholarships. Both Indiana resident and non-resident students are eligible to apply for Endowment Scholarships. Please note that a limited number of Endowment Scholarships are available each academic year. This is open to all incoming and current OCU students. Endowment Scholarships can be completed HERE.
General Baptist Scholarship
Founded by General Baptists in 1885, Oakland City University continues to support the education of today’s General Baptist youth. The General Baptist scholarship is available to students who are acting members of a General Baptist church.
Good Neighbor Scholarship
The Good Neighbor Scholarship allows for a major savings on tuition and is available to any 2021 first time OCU student living within 60 miles of campus who plans to commute.
OCU’s Homeschool Scholarship awards and recognizes homeschool students who have shown determination, self-advocacy and success in pursuing post-secondary education.
International Student Scholarship
If you are a bright, talented, or motivated international student, and have dreamt of studying in the United States, Oakland City University has an available International Student Scholarship for you.
Merit Based Scholarship
Students meeting the entrance eligibility requirements set forth by Oakland City University qualify for merit-based aid. These awards are based on final high school or college transfer GPA.

Pep Band/Great Command Scholarship
Oakland City University proudly recognizes students with vocal or instrumental talent. Students are required to audition for an opportunity to qualify for these scholarships.
